2009年東京大学情報理工学系研究科博士課程修了。2012年まで同大学助教としてロボット工学に従事。2012年、ロボット系ベンチャーSCHAFTを設立、CEOとして、災害対応ヒューマノイドの開発及びマネジメントに従事。2013年にGoogleにSCHAFTを売却するとともに、自身もグーグルの東京ロボット部門マネージャーとして研究開発を継続。2018年GITAIに参画、宇宙用ロボット開発に従事。

Yuto Nakanishi received PhD in Information Science and Technology from the University of Tokyo in 2009. He was appointed as an assistant professor in the Department of Mechano-Informatics at the University of Tokyo and engaged in robotics engineering. In 2012, he founded SCHAFT Inc. as CEO for developing disaster response humanoids. In 2013, SCHAFT was acquired by Google, and he was appointed as a manager in the Tokyo robotics department of Google. In 2018, he joined GITAI Inc. as CRO for developing space robots.
