1997年スカパーJSAT入社。静止通信衛星のフライトディレクタや新規衛星の運用準備プロジェクトマネージャなど20年に渡る衛星運用経験を経て新規事業開発に携わる。 宇宙データを活用した情報サービスプラットフォームSpatio-i（スペイシオ・アイ）を立ち上げる傍ら、2019年社内スタートアップ制度を使い有志と共にスペースデブリ除去事業の検討を開始。2020年春から理化学研究所内に研究開発チームを設立し、非接触によるスペースデブリ除去要素技術を開発している。慶應義塾大学大学院修了。理化学研究所客員研究員。

Daisuke started his carrier as flight director of geostationary communication satellites at SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation. After 20 years of satellite operation related project management experiences, he involved in new space business development. He launched business intelligence service “Spatio-i”, an information platform that utilizes earth observation data and geospatial data. In addition to that, he started feasibility study of ADR (Active space Debris Removal) services as part of intrepreneurship program in SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation with his colleagues. In 2020, his study group established a joint research laboratory with RIKEN (Japan‘s largest comprehensive research institution) for cutting edge laser for space debris removal technology and he also joined as visiting researcher at RIKEN in parallel. He has a Masters of Systems Engineering degree from Graduate school of Keio University.

SDGs x Space Business: Challenges of Space Business Players to Solve Social Issues (This panel is supported by Space Biz for the SDGs)
COVID-19をはじめ人類は様々な社会課題に直面しています。国連サミットで採択された「持続可能な開発目標」はあらゆる産業を巻き込んだ流れになりつつあります。そうした課題に対して宇宙ビジネスに何ができるか？昨年立ち上がった官民イニシアチブ「Space Biz for the SDGs」のメンバーとともに議論をしていきます。
Humankind has faced various social issues in history, including the current COVID-19 pandemic. The 'Sustainable Development Goals' adopted at the United Nations Summit are becoming an increasingly important priority than involves almost all industries. So what roles can the space industry have to address some of these social issues? We will discuss with members of the public-private initiative, Space Biz for the SDGs, that was launched last year.
